This is a call for recipes for CHEWY Pumpkin Bars! I have searched the internet, but have yet to find a recipe for this. All of them seem to be the 'cakey' version. They are nice too, but lately I've been fantasizing about bars that resemble peanut butter bars in texture. You know, the nice chewy moist kind?
Is there a pumpkin bar like this out there? I'd love to hear about them if they are. Please share your recipe with me so I can satisfy this craving and move on to the next one! LoL!

I was looking for the same thing and found this; I haven't tried them yet but they look promising!
CHEWY PUMPKIN BARS
1 pkg. spice cake mix
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
Measure out 2/3 cup cake mix and set aside. Combine remaining cake mix with egg and melted butter until crumbly. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Combine reserved cake mix with pumpkin, sugar and eggs. Mix, pour over crust layer as it comes out of oven. Sprinkle with nuts. Continue baking for 15 minutes. Keep refrigerated.
Thanks so much for the recipe! It sounds lovely, I'll be sure to try this. My hubby loves pumpkin pie, and this will be a nice change.
Thanks for visiting. :0)
